The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently viewing the Fernie 2 Neighborhood Hall in Mpuluzi to render companies for the community.
SASSA are going to be rendering providers for example new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer care enquiries, plus the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a press release, the agency said it can be alarmed in regards to the higher amount of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The intention of the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to your higher amount of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“That is due to the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no absolutely functional office dedicated to service the area daily. The service level made for intervention experiences a large inflow of opportunity beneficiaries, which makes it challenging for that Workplace to attend to all people who visit a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise a lot more methods to help the servicing of all customers and boost use of Social Assistance products and SRD services,” the agency said.
